Scubble are simple creatures who choose to live safe and banal lives. Only the bare neccessities matter to them, as long as their basic needs are fufilled Scubbles have no dires to change their routine or travel. Scubbles is aloof towards humans, but they warm up to those who feed them.
History and Culture
Fishermen have found a use for Scubbles as bait for catching fish and amphibians. This slow moving anthropod is easy to trap even for beginners.
Because Scubbles are simple to raise they make first time Monrades for children. In villages and towns where bug catching is popular Scubbles is a common creature to catch. Children can be seen by the river with their bug nets, competiting to catch the largest Scubbles to show off and brag about.
Abilities
These submersive arthropods don’t have notable magical abilities, but they are adaptable creatures. Scubbles live underwater without needing to surface. They conserve energy by slowly drifting around, only redirecting their flow by rotating their propeller like tail.
Scubbles can speed up their tail and leave a trail of bubbles to confuses predators if they need to. They also regurgitate sticky algae from their gut to blow at their enemies when threatened.
Ecology
These creatures are commonly found living in the shallow waters of the marshlands. Being low on the food chain forces Scubble to avoid open spaces that occupied by larger predators. Marshland amphibians like Hewt and Defibbit find Scubbles delicious.
Despite appearing lazy and insignificant, Scubbles is a pillar to the marshlands ecosystem. They consume dangerous algae that pollutes the waters. Scubbles’s hardy stomach allows them to eat poisonous vegetation with no issue.
Diet
These creature prefer easily accessible vegatation, notibly the green algae that rests at the surface of boggy waters. Everyday Scubbles eat their weight in algae and rest afterwards.
