Primaw - The Proto Mammal

The large membrane on Primaw's back absorbs light and warmth. They hunt and patrol at night then spend their days basking in the sun to replenish their energy. Primaw use the solar energy they gather to strengthen their Fire abilities.
Personalities and Behaviors
Despite their small, round appearance, Primaw are fairly aggressive creatures. They are protective of their territory and they will fight Primaw over a favorite basking place. An angry Primaw will show its maw and stomp and snort at their rivals.
Primaw seems to exist in a class in between Mammals and Reptiles.
History and Culture
Existing since long before the Old World, tales of described Primaw as a beast who embodied the planet’s warmth. Early desert folk were inspired by Primaw’s solar powered sails. Primaw’s hides was used to make clothing and blankets, which kept the desert folk warm during cold nights and protected them from the blazing sun.
Abilities
Primaw are cold blooded like at Reptile monster, however, Primaw’s warmth storing membrane allows them to thrive in cold nights after absorbing sunlight during hot days.
With the power of sunlight Primaw strengthens their Fire magic. They radiate imposing heat from their bodies to repel enemies. Enraged and full powered, Primaw can create an hot aura that makes the air around them unbreathable.
If they are unable to use their Fire magic they are able to rely on their powerful bite. Primaw fearsome maw can crush even Enthropeon’s tough exoskeleton.
Ecology
Primaw makes their home in warm regions of the world. While they are typically fond of hot marshlands, they can rarely he seen deserts living by oases. Primaw prefer to exist in area that are humid to keep their skin moist.
These sturdy creatures pick fights with other monsters and their own kind over food and territory. In the marshlands and desert Primaw feuds with toxic Hewt and the tyrannical Akukind respectively.
Diet
As small carnivores Primaw hunts creatures like insects, lizards and rodents. This reptile use their sturdy claws to dig up sand and dirt to expose the prey living underneath.
