Bagoro and Fortegoro acted as the bodyguards and pets of Gaean royalty and nobility. One Gaean king allowed his pet Bagoro to sit at the dining table and dine with him and other nobles.

After the end of the Old World era Bagoro became less important to the Gaean way of life. As war and shrine activity dissolved, so did Bagoro’s use as guardians. However, these creatures were still loved by the Gaean people regardless.

Ecology

Bagoro are native to the mountains of the former Gaea Nation. There they share the same space as Yamanoko, another monster once loyal to the Gaean people. While Yamanoko is hostile to most monsters, the pig like creatures seem to be neutral towards Bagoro; the two Earth species rarely engage in aggression.

Towards other monsters, however, Bagoro are rather territorial. This turtle like creature patrols the mountains from sunrise to sunset, eating small animals and monsters unfortunate enough to cross the glutton’s path.
